Nobody has done more in the wine world to tackle the issues around climate change than the Torres family. Looking to the future, they have gone back to the past and found ancestral grape varieties which are resistant to high temperatures and drought. Clos Ancestral is made from Moneu, an ancient variety native to the Penedès, and blended with Tempranillo and Garnacha. The aroma is highly fragrant, very pure, the wine medium-bodied, with lots of bright wild berry and generous big cherry flavours, showing bags of personality. A joyous wine with a delightful, lip-smacking, savoury finish. 14%
